Add one cup of all-purpose flour to a bowl.
Add the salt as well.
Mix until it's homogeneous
Add one teaspoon of vegetable oil to the mix. The oil will keep your homemade playdough moist and prevent it from drying.
Add one teaspoon of cream of tartar. If you don't have any available you can substitute it for baking powder. The cream of tartar will be the glutinous element that holds everything together!
Mix everything with a small spoon until it's homogeneous. It's very important to mix before adding water because it guarantees that the mix will be equally distributed in the play dough.
Add 1/4 to one cup of water to the mix. Do it gradually while you stir to make sure you get a playdough consistency,
Knead until you have a playdough consistency! If it's too sticky, add more flour. If it's too dry, add more water!
Separate the playdough into smaller balls for coloring. Each ball should correspond to one color! Poke a hole in the middle of each playdough to add the coloring.
Add the food coloring (and the glitter!) in each of the holes!
Wrap in saran wrap and mix the coloring while wrapped! This way you won't get your hands dirty!
Your homemade play dough is ready!
